This is an idea I have to prevent people from doing chest runs in places such as Imperial Sanctum, Fissure of Woe, Nahpui porter, and anywhere else there maybe chest runs. Make it so that they have to kill the enemies, so that the chests will spawn in that specific area. Or if that is too hard to program into the game change the chest drop rates of items. I know most of the time these items drop every 4-6 runs. Golden Phoenix blade, Platinum bow, and Oni blades. Most of those sell for 25k and if they have good mods then they earned 100k + XX amount of ecto. If your worried about the economy changing just nerf the amount they are allowed to trade for that item.

Why nerf the chest's?
Get ride of the Bot's the have much bigger inpact on the economy.

Yeah just make Treasure Hunter more of a grind fest...
It's fine as it is, it makes things cheap for other players, yet keeps the rarity of max mods on rare skins etc...
These have very little effect on the economy compared to bots.
Besides most of the chests are purple in which you lose the value of your keys, if you do about 30 keys and open ONLY golds, then you will probably have 20k + the money you spent on your keys.
Not to mention it's time consuming and sometimes very frustrating, especially when people take your drop while you're dead or no one rezzes when you are close to a chest, or even the location of the chest itself

That is already in place in a few ways. More chests you open less chance of them being gold the more often you do that. Solo chest running also doesnt work as most chests will be purple. Chest runs are fun too though and considering they nerfed the FoW Quest chests to only ever drop purples (You saved the realm of Balthazaar! Here is a purple Raven staff for you all to share. GG!) I dont understand why nerf chest running would benefit the economy. The more chests runs the more common items become since there is an influx of them and therefore allowing John Doe to purchase item for less. Dun nerf the chests anymore than they already are. Actually, give me back the Lost Strongbox and Frozen Chest!

*Snip* (Edited by moderator) There will always be technical advances in bots which will make them harder to track and ban, they will always be around (yea yea that sounded pretty damn nerdy)

Bots will never be vanished from the game, its like hacking in a first person shooter, there is always a new hack that gets past the latest patch.

There really is no point in nerfing Chest runs. It provides an influx of weapons and items into a game, and i believe chests must never get nerfed again. The amount of grape drops will quickly deplete a persons resources unless he she has enough keys.

You have to worry about a few things.
- Is the item purple or gold?
- Is it max and does it have good mods?

even if its a gold chests, most likely itll be some gay weapon with some gay mods. (Rods anybody?) Chests are perfect as they are and shouldnt get nerfed.

I don't like the economic in GW. Too many people with too many time making too many money.. its not casual.

Although you cannot destroy all bots, you can for sure make it difficult on ppl who make exploits, making it so its not profitable. You can also get rid of a fair few of them.

Those who put in more time will always have an economic advantage in a game. However this does not give them a capable advantage, in PvP or PvE etc.

There is no reason to nerf the chest runs, regardless.

I personaly wish they would nerf FoW chest runs, becuase if u go to ToA to try and find a group for anything, all u see is stupid w/mo's spamming:
